sarah, paul, miles, & lola | a family at home in the woods and the garden
I have known Paul and Sarah for almost ten years, and it has been my immense honor to have photographed their growing family in Maryland from their wedding in 2017 to now. Their children, Miles and Lola, are some of the most curious, playful, engaged, and lively young humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. We spent the first half of our shoot last August climbing on fallen logs, turning over stones, inspecting shapes of leaves, and running through well-worn forest paths in the deliciously moody lighting of an August morning in Patapsco Valley State Park. We then finished at their home in Ellicott City, where their abundant garden was the most beautiful backdrop for some of my favorite images.
rachael & nick | an early morning couples shoot in Prati, Roma
Rachael and Nick moved to Rome last year from the United States with their sweet pup, Lentil. We spent an early morning together exploring the neighborhood of Prati, stopping at Castel Sant’Angelo, the Vatican, and Bibliobar along the way. I am so grateful to have been able to photograph these two, and in doing so mark their transition from the States to Italy with images to be treasured.
