monumental

For this project, I was to ceate an interactive iPad game for an intended audience of young children.

 Using Adobe XD, I created “Monumental,” a puzzle game designed to aid with children’s spatial learning, geometry, worldview, and geography. The game features different nations’ principle monuments, and is intended to increase their subconscious worldview as well as appeal to parents who may be watching or playing with them.

 The monuments are abstracted to their main geometric shapes, and children drag shapes from the sliding menu bar at the bottom to fill their place in the puzzle to create the final image of the monument.

 I aimed to keep wording minimal and relying on color combinations — yellow and light blue that recede, pink that stands out — to encourage interaction and ease of use for young children.
